How to Sync Documents with updating ...

Hi everyone, (I looked around and couldn't find an answer for this)

I want to be able use/view updated original documents (excel etc) in my laptop, and have a Sync'd version accessible or stored (maybe via isync/idisc or anything else), by/on my iPhone

As a demonstration of what I mean,
I created an "Alias" version of a document in my laptop and placed this in my iDisc Document Folder, but when i tried to access that document via my iphone it said that this was not a supported feature,

I guess I want to avoid constantly putting new versions of documents into a folder so that my iPhone always has access to the latest document version on my laptop

Any ideas much appreciated.
