I've done some web searching and even checked the forum here, but I've yet to find a definitive reason why I can't purchase an app named "FIX-IT" from NZ for use here in the USA on my iPhone. All the app does is allow me to get rid of duplicate contact information on my iPhone.
I can purchase hardware direct from OEMs in China (they accept US credit cards), software from India and tickets to the Great Wall of China from here in the USA, but I can't buy an app in NZ with US dollars. Somebody, has got to explain that to me, beyond some explanation of localization...I've spent money all over the world, used ATMs in France, Germany, and Nepal and I can't buy an app fro New Zealand? What's the deal Apple and ROW? I'm pretty suspicious of concepts that defy worldwide accessibility and aren't threatening national security.
I'm curious to hear an explanation that doesn't involve just localization.
Cheers from Texas.
