Using TomTom App abroad ...

Hi,

This may be a silly question but I'm not very clued up on GPS, 3G etc.

I have just bought the TomTom Western Europe iPhone App which I think is fantastic!

I am travelling abroad next month and would just like to know if by using the app I will be using my o2 data allowance? Being out of the UK the data would cost money so just want to check.
