I have the solution to fix GPS trouble:
I tested this solution on one 3GS FW 3.1 and two 3G FW 3.0.1 and 3.1
At first go to general settings
Go on clock settings and change your Time zone (not lagos default settings)and check your right time zone!
Change your clock with the right time
Reboot your iphone
After restart go on plan and you have an accurate gps under 10 seconds.
During few minutes you have a right ephemeride saved in your iphone.
If after your test is ok you can remove your sim card and test plan, after 10 seconds your gps is always ready.
If after you change to another time zone, your GPS system is always ok because the ephemeride was saved in your phone.
